There are so many things to do in NYC, I never really know where to start. Depending on the time of year you’re there, there’ll always be events taking place.
Go for a walk on what used to be an elevated freight rail line and has now transformed into a public park. It does get a bit crowded, especially on a beautiful sunny day so if you’d like to enjoy it while it’s empty it’s best to go early in the morning.
The Museum of Modern Art in Midtown Manhattan features different exhibitions, check their website by clicking here to find out which exhibition is being displayed.
The metropolitan Museum of art is located on Fifth Avenue. It has quite a big permanent collection including artifacts from ancient Egypt. To check current exhibitions click here.
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Go to the Museum of Sex! – and don’t forget to take photos in the photo-booth as a little souvenir.
Enjoy walking between 9th – 11th avenue & 17th – 30th st, to visit all the galleries in Chelsea. Click here for a map of all the galleries.
Top of the rock gives you an amazing view of New York city’s skyscrappers.
Another great place to get amazing views of the city, the observation deck.
Go for a walk in Central Park – stop for a piece of cake at Lady M in the Plaza Food hall.
Nice to walk around – tons of boutiques and some street art.
Take a tour of New York on board a helicopter, get the best photos of NYC. I suggest you buy your tickets on groupon.com you’ll get it a lot cheaper and you’ll get a photo included in the price as well.
Amazing helicopter tour, without doors so the photos you get are really cool. I recommend taking off from Manhattan – although it’s more expensive you get better shots. Make sure you book this on a warm day – I did it in March and it was VERY cold to the extent that my phone switched off due to the drop in temperature.
Check out Songkick to know which artists are performing and where. I don’t recommend buying tickets from scalpers outside the venue as you could easily be sold a fake ticket.
