El Gouna: Everything you need to know

My favourite place on earth, a never-never land of peace of mind, minutes away from the most beautiful islands.

El Gouna is a destination that’s fit for all, be it family, couples, friends or a solo trip. With tons of activities to do, places to see and people to meet, some come for vacation and end up settling indefinitely.

Here’s a little guide to help you get an idea of what El Gouna has to offer.

Activities in El Gouna

Boat Rental

There are boats of all different shapes and sizes that you can rent depending on your party size and budget. There are beautiful reefs and islands that you can visit, scroll down to find out more about this. Renting a boat is something I highly recommend. Please drop me an email or instagram DM if you’d like to rent a boat.

Kite surfing

One of the best places to Kite Surf in Egypt. You can get started with an instructor in Mangroovy Beach.

Sliders

One of the largest cable parks in the world. There are beginner and advanced cables. Also includes a swimming pool, beach volleyball area and an area for spectators.

Diving

Beautiful sites for experienced divers. Many different diving schools for beginners click here for more info.

Golfing

Two 18-hole golf courses, every level of golfer can play on these courses. Tee times must be requested in advance and confirmed by the Club.

Thanks for sharing, this is a really good guide. Two questions – is Gouna good for New Years? Is it fine for tourists, or do you need to know locals to really have a good time (parties etc)?

Also is Maison Bleu the only place you recommend to stay? Looking for somewhere nice

Thanks a lot and keep traveling to more spots

Hi Ali, sorry I just saw this. Gouna is def one of the places to be for New Years. Although there are a lot of locals you would enjoy it with a group of friends. You definitely need local advice but that’s what I’m here for. Maison Bleu is my hotel of choice, beautiful property with spacious rooms. Drop me an email if ever you decide to go and I’ll fill you in on all the details. Once again, sorry for my late reply!
